Thursday Sports Update – Cowboys Host Bills For Traditional Thanksgiving Day Game

(Arlington, TX) — The Dallas Cowboys will battle the Buffalo Bills in their annual Thanksgiving Day game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Dallas has traded wins and losses over its last four games since its bye week. The ‘Boys fell to the Patriots 13-9 in Foxborough this past Sunday. They still lead the NFC East at 6-and-5, but just one game ahead of the Eagles. The Bills have won back-to-back games over the Dolphins and Broncos to get to 8-and-3. Buffalo still trails New England by two games in the AFC East, but currently holds a two-game lead over several teams for the top wild card spot in the AFC. NFL Thanksgiving Tripleheader Today

(Undated) — Three games highlight the NFL’s Thanksgiving tripleheader. In the opener, the Detroit Lions play host to the division-rival Chicago Bears. The second game will feature the Dallas Cowboys at home against the Buffalo Bills. The New Orleans Saints will visit the Atlanta Falcons in the nightcap.

Texans Host Patriots Sunday

(Houston, TX) — The Texans are back on the practice field preparing for a Sunday home game with the New England Patriots. Houston leads the AFC South with a 7-and-4 record, while the Patriots top the AFC East with a 10-and-1 mark. The Texans have had little success against the Patriots in franchise history, losing eight of nine regular season games and going 0-and-2 in the postseason.

Rockets Turn Down Heat

(Houston, TX) — James Harden scored 34 points in the Rockets’ 117-108 win over the Heat in Houston. Russell Westbrook had 27 points and Danuel House Jr. 23 as Houston snapped a three-game skid. The Rockets are home again Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks.

T’wolves Top Spurs

(San Antonio, TX) — Karl-Anthony Towns totaled 23 points, 14 rebounds and six assists as the Timberwolves topped the Spurs 113-101 in San Antonio. Andrew Wiggins netted a game-high 26 points for Minnesota, which won its second straight after losing four of its previous five games. The T’wolves are 10-and-8 overall. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 22 points and DeMar DeRozan added 20 for the Spurs. San Antonio has lost 10 of its lats 11 games to fall to 6-and-13 overall.

Trail Blazers Blitz Thunder

(Portland, OR) — Damian Lillard scored 27 points as the Trail Blazers took down the Thunder 136-119 in Portland. C.J. McCollum added 22 points for Portland. Hassan Whiteside posted a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won two straight. Abdel Nader led the Thunder with 23 points. Chirs Paul added 16 for Oklahoma City, which has lost six-of-eight.

Rangers, Gibson Agree On Three-Year Contract

(Arlington, TX) — Multiple-outlets report the Rangers have signed free agent right-hander Kyle Gibson to a three-year, 30-million dollar contract. Gibson went 13-and-7 with a 4.84 ERA last season with the Twins. The deal is pending a physical.
