During the Monday meeting of the Potter County Commissioners Court, Members voted to extend the County Burn Ban for 90 days.
This Order prohibits any and all outdoor burning of trash, debris and brush in the areas of the county until May 15th.

The Commissioner’s Court can end the order based on a determination that the circumstances are no longer needed.
Violation of the Order is a Class C misdemeanor and punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or more depending on the severity of the case.
Lieutenant Denny also spoke about the need for burn bans.
