Glove Shortage Predicted after 2,400 Factory Workers Test Positive

The world’s top manufacturer of coronavirus-protective gloves says production has been delayed for two to four weeks – because more than 2,400 of its workers have tested positive for COVID-19.

Officials with the Malaysian company Top Glove say production stopped at 16 of its factories outside Kuala Lumpur last week. However, after learning about the large number of infections, the Malaysian government stepped in Monday and ordered the company to close all 28 of its factories until every last employee is tested.
